Manuel Cuevas designed Kid Rock’s red, rhinestone-covered Oval Office suit, and his wife, Ofelia Vasquez, added embroidery and embellishment. They made it in three weeks for Kid Rock’s March 31, 2025, appearance at the White House, where its “250” motif pointed to the United States’ upcoming 250th anniversary.
Who made Kid Rock’s Oval Office suit?
The suit was a collaboration between Nashville-based designer Manuel Cuevas and his wife, Ofelia Vasquez. In Joseph Hudak’s Rolling Stone report republished by Yahoo, Vasquez described Cuevas as the lead designer: “Manuel was designing everything.” She contributed the finishing embroidery and embellishment, so the finished garment was not Cuevas’s work alone. Yahoo’s republication of the Rolling Stone report identifies both makers.
What was the suit designed to celebrate?
Kid Rock commissioned the outfit as a patriotic uniform celebrating America’s 250th birthday. Fox News reported that his representative relayed the brief this way: “Kid Rock said, ‘Make me the most patriotic suit that you can.’” The “250” on the suit referred to the United States’ 250th anniversary in 2026; it was a design reference, not a statistic about the garment. How was it made on such a short deadline?
Kid Rock contacted Cuevas about a month before the event, but the makers had three weeks to complete the suit. Vasquez recalled: “It was an urgent order, and we only had three weeks to make it.” She said they went to Kid Rock’s home to take his measurements, then returned to the studio to work on the commission.

The red suit featured closely spaced rhinestones—hundreds of them—along with American flag and eagle motifs. The Associated Press described the outfit at the event as a red bedazzled suit with an American flag motif and a straw fedora. How much did Kid Rock’s suit cost?
Vasquez recalled that the suit cost more than $20,000, according to the Rolling Stone report republished by Yahoo. She said she did not remember the precise amount while working on other pieces for Kid Rock. That makes the figure an approximate recollection—not a verified invoice or a general price for Cuevas’s designs.
