Why fans connected it to “Not Like Us”
The leading fan interpretation links the letter to the song’s “A minor” wordplay. British Vogue pointed to the lyric, “Tryna strike a chord and it’s probably A-minorrrrrr.” TIME reported that the audience chanted “a-minorrrr” during the show, adding context for why viewers made the connection. Those details support the interpretation as a fan reading, not as a confirmed explanation from Lamar.
A second interpretation: pgLang
XXL also reported that some viewers saw the lowercase “a” as a reference to pgLang, the creative company co-founded by Lamar and Dave Free. The coverage discussed this alongside speculation about the “Not Like Us” diss. Both are interpretations of the pendant; neither establishes what Lamar intended.

Has Lamar explained the necklace?
As of its February 10, 2025 article, Distractify reported that Lamar had not publicly explained the pendant’s meaning. The available coverage therefore does not settle whether it referenced the lyric, pgLang, both, or something else.
Who made the necklace, and can you buy it?
The reviewed reports do not identify the maker, price, materials, or an exact retail listing for the Super Bowl chain. Tiffany & Co.’s release documents a custom crown made for Lamar and Dave Free and worn at Glastonbury in 2022; that is a separate piece and does not establish who made this necklace.
