Yes. Gojo kills Hanami during the Shibuya Incident, after Hanami survives their earlier fight at the Kyoto Goodwill Event. The two encounters are easy to confuse: Gojo’s Hollow Purple attack at the Goodwill Event is not fatal, while the later Shibuya fight ends with Gojo crushing Hanami against a wall.
Did Gojo kill Hanami at the Kyoto Goodwill Event?
No. During the disrupted Kyoto Goodwill Event, Gojo uses Hollow Purple against Hanami. The attack leaves the characters unsure of Hanami’s fate at the time, but the official episode 21 synopsis shows Hanami being helped away by Mahito. Hanami survives that encounter.

When does Gojo kill Hanami?
Gojo kills Hanami later, during the Shibuya Incident. The official episode 32 synopsis places Gojo’s confrontation with Jogo, Hanami, and Choso at Shibuya Station on October 31, 2018, in the story timeline. The episode 33 synopsis continues the fight, describing Gojo overwhelming and cornering the group as they stall for the Prison Realm plan.
