What does the title mean?
In an interview published April 3, 2025, Little Feat keyboardist and vocalist Bill Payne said Scott Sharrard wrote the title song to express bringing people back together after the pandemic. Payne also described the title as a metaphor for Little Feat returning as a band with a new lineup. The title therefore refers both to the song’s theme and to the group’s own return.
Payne also said he wrote “Bluegrass Pines” with Robert Hunter. That songwriting credit is separate from the track’s guest-performance credits.
