Tommy Cash’s career beyond his famous brother

Tommy Cash’s place in country music history is not solely a matter of family. His career included early performances with Hank Williams Jr., recordings across multiple labels, and “Six White Horses,” a song whose dedication linked it to the assassinations of Kennedy and King. Johnny Cash’s fame made their relationship central to public interest, but Tommy recorded and performed under his own name.
