In reports published from November 30 to December 2, 2023, influencer Brenda Monique accused her former boyfriend Jonathan Couto of assaulting her after she confronted him about alleged infidelity. The reports place their relationship and the alleged events in 2015. They describe Monique’s account and materials she reportedly shared; they do not independently verify the alleged assault or establish an official finding about it.
What Brenda Monique alleged
Correio Braziliense reported on November 30, 2023, that Monique said she and Couto were dating in 2015. She alleged he had been unfaithful with Sarah Poncio and said she confronted him after learning of the alleged infidelity, at which point, according to her account, he assaulted her. Correio Braziliense’s report presents these as Monique’s claims, not as independently established events.
What the news reports say she shared
POPline reported on December 1, 2023, that Monique showed images she presented as marks from an assault. POPline’s account describes what she reportedly posted but does not establish that the images prove an assault.
Portal do Holanda reported on December 2 that Monique showed photos she described as bruises and scratches, as well as screenshots she said showed conversations in which Couto admitted aggression. That report does not independently authenticate the images or screenshots.
