How did Lewis describe learning to walk again?
Lewis said her recovery involved rehabilitation and relearning how to walk. In her March 2024 conversation with Roberts, she said she stopped taking pain medication three months into recovery. Explaining her thinking, she said, “If there’s pain let me feel it so I can fix it,” as reported by Good Morning America. This was a personal choice she described, not medical guidance for others.

Why did she share the story in 2024?
Lewis said she had kept the fall private while recovering and decided to talk about it to share what had helped her through a major setback.
