What happened at the reunion?
The reunion was filmed on August 14, 2024, and aired on August 19. Contemporary coverage reported that Nicole and Kendall were still a couple during the episode. Their disagreement focused on Kendall’s explanation of the private video and the couple’s communication afterward.
Nicole said Kendall had initially described the video as older and sent to an ex. She said she later learned it had been recorded in a Fiji hotel shortly before the show and sent to someone he had met on a dating app. Those details are Nicole’s account as reported from the reunion discussion; they should not be treated as independently verified facts. Coverage places the video’s creation before Nicole and Kendall coupled up in the villa.
What did Nicole say about the leak?
Nicole condemned the release of the video, separating the violation of his privacy from her concerns about his explanation to her. As quoted by Out, she said at the reunion: “Obviously the video is not OK. Nobody deserves that. That is fucked up.”

When did Nicole and Kendall break up?
They announced their split on August 20, 2024, one day after the reunion aired. Nicole said they had agreed on August 18 to work on the relationship and were planning a visit to Kendall in Dallas, but that he called to end things on August 20. Kendall said he had decided to end the relationship because it had become unhealthy to continue, while expressing care for Nicole and asking viewers not to send hate. USA Network reproduced their statements.
What happened after the breakup?
In 2025, Kendall revisited the breakup on Love Island: Beyond the Villa. In an account published July 16, 2025, Out reported that he said his last conversation with Nicole was a phone call after the reunion aired. That later account does not establish whether they are together now.
