He played Sir Henry Muck, a privileged entrepreneur whose intimate scenes included nudity Harington said he chose to do. He also stressed that no actor should feel pressured to perform nude scenes.
How Kit Harington joined Industry
Harington did not wait for the series to seek him out. In interviews published August 11, 2024, he said he was a fan and initiated contact. He told TheWrap that he spoke with creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay at his agency; British GQ reported that he asked his agent to make calls.

The role was Sir Henry Muck, an entitled, privileged entrepreneur leading Lumi, a fictional green-energy company. The creators said they wanted the company and its founder to take the story beyond the trading floor. Harington described Henry as “a complex, strange guy who’s a product of his environment,” rather than a straightforward villain.
Why he wanted to play Henry Muck
Henry’s status and oddness gave Harington room to play a man shaped by privilege, not simply a caricature of wealth. The character can also use the language of therapy to manipulate women, Harington said in interviews. That contradiction—polished self-presentation alongside entitlement—helps explain why the actor saw the role as more than a guest appearance in a finance drama.

What Harington said about the nude scenes
Harington told ELLE that his nudity was his own decision: “No actor should feel any pressure to do any nudity.” He added, “But it is my personal choice.” He connected the scene to Henry’s characterization: Henry is trying to impress a woman and, as Harington put it, peacocking.
He also said he had expected one scene might feel ridiculous, but was pleasantly surprised by how it played. In his account, the encounter had tenderness as well as a darker undertone. That reading reflects Harington’s interpretation of the scene and Henry, not a universal explanation of how viewers should read it.

Marisa Abela, Harington’s fellow performer, told Cosmopolitan on October 4, 2024: “We work with an intimacy coordinator always on Industry.” She identified Sarah Green as the coordinator that season and described Harington as “incredibly aware and generous” in his approach to camera placement, the crew and his scene partner.
Abela’s comments provide an actor’s account of the environment on set, not a complete record of procedures or the choreography of every scene. The interviews do not establish the detailed protocols used for each intimate sequence, so it would be misleading to infer specifics beyond what the actors described.
