The Chicago Lollapalooza ran August 1–4, 2024, at Grant Park. Its March announcement included Tyler, the Creator, but he withdrew in June; Megan Thee Stallion replaced him as the August 1 headliner. The original announcement and the eventual event-week bill were therefore not identical.
Who headlined Lollapalooza 2024 each day?
The May schedule report placed these headliners on each day. Thursday’s Tyler, the Creator listing was later superseded by Megan Thee Stallion.
| Date | Headliners in the May schedule report | Event-week change |
|---|---|---|
| Thursday, August 1 | Tyler, the Creator and Hozier | Megan Thee Stallion replaced Tyler, the Creator. |
| Friday, August 2 | SZA and Stray Kids | No change noted in the cited schedule reporting. |
| Saturday, August 3 | The Killers and Future x Metro Boomin | No change noted in the cited schedule reporting. |
| Sunday, August 4 | Blink-182 and Melanie Martinez | No change noted in the cited schedule reporting. |
CBS Chicago’s May 23 schedule report listed the original day-by-day headliners; Axios Chicago’s August 1 report confirmed Megan Thee Stallion’s replacement role.
What was on the original lineup announcement?
The March 19 announcement named SZA, Tyler, the Creator, Blink-182, The Killers, Future and Metro Boomin, Hozier, Stray Kids, Melanie Martinez, and Skrillex among the headliners. It also announced a much broader roster. Selected additional performers included Victoria Monét, Deftones, Faye Webster, Killer Mike, Kesha, Four Tet, Vince Staples, Tyla, Kenny Beats, Raye, and Tate McRae; these are examples, not a complete artist list.

- Easy Setup & Fold Away: The shock-corded frame snaps into place. Pull the base handle outward to lock the frame, then slip the seat onto the four poles. You’re seated in under a minute. Two integrated Velcro straps secure the folded poles: wrap one strap around the folded poles on one side, then repeat on the other side. The seat fabric starts snug and breaks in for easier setup.

Pitchfork’s March 19 announcement coverage reported the initial roster and the festival dates and location. The Chicago lineup should not be confused with bills for Lollapalooza festivals in other countries.
Did Tyler, the Creator perform at Lollapalooza 2024?
No. Tyler, the Creator withdrew in June, after appearing on the initial announcement and May schedule. Axios Chicago reported on June 20 that he said, “I made a commitment I can no longer keep, and that bums me out knowing how excited folks were,” in a post on X. Megan Thee Stallion took his opening-night headlining slot on August 1.
