The statement is IFC Center’s availability guidance, not a guarantee that independently establishes the film’s distribution forever. Check venue listings for a new booking before making plans.
Roadstead’s 2024 launch offered limited owner licenses through its digital video trading platform. That was a specific license-sales route, not a conventional streaming subscription or a claim that purchasers received the film’s copyright. Janus Films describes a culinary instructor whose student is driven to insanity by a chiming sound said to control his mind. The Japanese Film Festival Australia describes the film as a story of psychological and moral fracture, emphasizing its wide shots and eerie sound design. Those are festival-program descriptions rather than an objective measure of the film’s style. The festival listing provides its program copy.

Chime runs 45 minutes. The Japanese Film Database lists it as a 2024 horror/thriller written and directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa, with an August 2, 2024 release date, and notes its selection for Berlinale Special. The JFDB entry provides the film’s credits and release details.

What does “NFT” mean in the original description?
The “NFT” shorthand refers to coverage of Roadstead’s digital video trading launch. Roadstead described the offer as sales of limited owner licenses for Chime through its platform. That phrasing should not be confused with a streaming subscription, a physical collectible, or a transfer of copyright. The announcement documents the model and its 999-license limit at launch; it does not confirm present-day availability.
