At a cocktail party at Perth’s C Restaurant on August 29, 2024, Married At First Sight star Lucinda Light praised Perth’s beaches, sunshine and relaxed pace. A PerthNow report also said she was due to film the UK reality series Honesty Box in Cyprus later that year, with an expected 2025 airing; that was a plan reported at the time, not confirmation that filming or broadcast took place.
What Lucinda Light said about Perth
PerthNow reported that Light had visited the city and liked the lifestyle, beaches, sunshine and sense of space. She said she was staying in Scarborough and described Perth as relaxed.
“Today I really felt like I got Perth, the lifestyle, the beaches, the sunshine, the spaciousness, it feels very relaxed here, it feels like a place I could really vibe with and I’m into it,” she said.
She also summed up her enthusiasm with, “I’m juiced up about this place.” On the beach culture, she said: “The beach culture is so vibrant here, I’m a beach babe, give me sunshine, a beautiful beach, that’s me.” These comments were quoted in PerthNow’s August 29, 2024 report, not presented as a broader review of Perth.
