El chef y figura televisiva puertorriqueña Miguel Campis Ramírez, conocido como Chef Campis, falleció el 9 de julio de 2025, a los 51 años. Meses antes, a finales de abril, había comunicado que le diagnosticaron cáncer de páncreas, según reportes de la prensa local.
La confirmación de su fallecimiento
La familia confirmó la muerte de Campis mediante un mensaje en redes sociales, informó Primera Hora. El periódico reprodujo estas palabras de sus familiares: “Hoy, con gran tristeza, compartimos que nuestro querido y carismático Chef Miguel Campis ha partido de este mundo. Confiamos en que ahora descansa en paz, rodeado del amor divino.”
El Nuevo Día informó que Campis falleció durante la tarde del 9 de julio. Ambos periódicos vincularon la noticia con el diagnóstico de cáncer de páncreas que había comunicado a finales de abril. Los reportes citados no detallaron una causa clínica de muerte ni tratamientos específicos.
Su trayectoria en Wapa Televisión
Campis llegó a ser conocido por sus apariciones en programas de Wapa Televisión y, especialmente, por el segmento culinario Los Sabores de mi Tierra. El Nuevo Día describió su trayectoria en Wapa como de dos décadas; Primera Hora indicó que colaboró con la emisora por más de 20 años.
