Escândalo Íntimo – O Filme is Luísa Sonza’s short audiovisual project built around the songs and visual world of her 2023 album. The artist’s YouTube channel published it on 26 May 2024. Watch it on Luísa Sonza’s YouTube channel.
What is Escândalo Íntimo – O Filme?
It is a short film/music-visual project that brings together visuals Sonza had released earlier with new images, connecting the album’s tracks through a shared narrative. Sonza described the concept as a paradox in her mind, made up of “dreams and nightmares” passing through it. She said the songs became soundtracks for the “films in my head,” which were joined into one film. gshow reported her explanation on 24 May 2024.
What story does the film tell?
Director Diego Fraga explained that the story begins with the character alone before she enters a relationship that fails. In his reading, a flying bed marks her attempt to leave, and the ending represents rebirth: the protagonist is ready for something new, even though she does not yet know what that will be. This is the film’s fictional character arc, not a factual account of Sonza’s personal life.
The reported setting moves through the character’s subconscious and past in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul. A farm in Santana de Parnaíba, São Paulo, stood in for that setting during production. The narrative passes through phases of a toxic romance before turning toward renewal. gshow’s announcement coverage attributes the story and production details to Fraga and the film’s reporting.
