The timeline below follows those career phases and points to WWE’s photo galleries, while keeping a distinction between dated career milestones and images whose individual captions are not available here.
2000: A WWE debut, then Team Xtreme
Lita debuted in WWE in 2000 alongside Essa Rios. She later joined Matt and Jeff Hardy to form Team Xtreme, a partnership WWE says lasted nearly five years. That shift—from accompanying a singles competitor to becoming part of a recognizable trio—sets the scene for the earliest images in a career retrospective.
WWE’s profile says Lita won her first Women’s Championship from Stephanie McMahon in August 2000. That milestone belongs near the beginning of any visual timeline: it marks an early title run as her role in WWE was taking shape.
WWE’s galleries, The Hall of Fame Career of Lita: photos and Celebrate Lita’s birthday with these 40 classic photos, are useful places to explore images from across her career. The gallery text available here does not expose individual captions, so a particular image should not be assigned to the 2000 debut, championship win or a specific event without its own caption or an authoritative event record.

2001 onward: The long-running Trish Stratus rivalry
The rivalry with Trish Stratus became one of the recurring threads in Lita’s WWE career. WWE’s summary describes it as a long-running rivalry across their careers, rather than a feud that occupied every year. They also represented WWE together at InVasion in July 2001, a reminder that their story was not limited to opposing one another.
In a photo timeline, the rivalry is best treated as a recurring chapter: images tied to a verified match or event can show a particular moment, while the broader career context explains why the pairing remained memorable. Without image-level captions, a gallery photograph cannot safely be labeled as a specific encounter between the two.

2004–06: Storylines and the end of her full-time run
WWE’s career profile summarizes major on-screen storylines involving Kane and Edge. These were wrestling storylines, including staged relationship and pregnancy angles—not accounts of real-life events. That distinction matters when a retrospective uses dramatic images from this period: the photograph documents performance and character, not proof of events outside the show.
Lita chose to end her career in fall 2006 while in her fourth Women’s Championship reign, according to WWE. Mickie James defeated her at Survivor Series. This is the natural closing point for the first full-time chapter, but a photo should be called her final match only when its event caption confirms it depicts Survivor Series.

2014: Hall of Fame recognition
WWE inducted Lita into its Hall of Fame in 2014. The induction provides a clear pivot in a visual chronology: the images can move from her active full-time run to recognition of her career and legacy. WWE’s Hall of Fame gallery is a direct source for exploring that retrospective, though the event and date of any individual image still depend on its caption.

Lita returned for a singles title challenge against Becky Lynch at Elimination Chamber in 2022; Lynch retained the Raw Women’s Title. In 2023, the two became teammates, defeating Damage CTRL to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. The contrast makes the later images especially telling: Lynch went from opponent in a singles title match to partner in a championship victory.

How to read a career photo timeline
A strong retrospective does more than place attractive images in date order. For each photograph, check the caption or a reliable event record for its date, event and people, then use that confirmation to situate the image in Lita’s career. The career phases below provide the context without treating unverified gallery images as documentary evidence of a particular milestone.
