Lindsey Vonn joined the viral 2016 throwback trend with a carousel of photos from that year, including an image from a Sports Illustrated shoot that coverage described as topless. It is an archival photo, not a newly taken image.
What Lindsey Vonn posted
SportBible reported that Vonn shared 20 images from 2016. One was from a Sports Illustrated shoot in Saint Vincent and The Grenadines: the report describes her posing on a beach shore, facing away from the camera and wearing a bikini bottom. Mid-day also identified the image as part of a Sports Illustrated photoshoot.
SportBible reported that former tennis player Caroline Wozniacki commented: “Our body paint shoot!! Also, you haven’t aged a day!!!” The reports cited here do not give Vonn’s exact caption.
What the 2016 throwback trend is
The trend involved celebrities and other public figures sharing photos from 2016. In 2026, those photos look back a decade, which is the reason the year became the focus of the social-media trend.
