Yes—the LEGO Death Star leak was real. LEGO later officially revealed the Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Death Star, set 75419, with 9,023 pieces. It is a scene-packed diorama inspired by A New Hope and Return of the Jedi, not simply a claim of a fully enclosed sphere. StarWars.com reported the official reveal and specifications in 2025.
Is the LEGO Death Star leak real?
Yes. The product behind the leak became LEGO Star Wars UCS Death Star set 75419. The leak is no longer the latest news: LEGO’s official reveal followed in 2025, confirming the set and its specifications. StarWars.com covered the reveal.
How many pieces are in the new LEGO Death Star?
The official count is 9,023 pieces—not just a rounded 9,000. LEGO’s 2025 US catalog also lists 38 figures. Those are product specifications; they do not, by themselves, establish how the set compares in value or building experience with other large LEGO models. LEGO’s 2025 US catalog and StarWars.com both give the piece count.
What does set 75419 look like?
LEGO presents the model as a diorama recreating scenes from A New Hope and Return of the Jedi. Its design emphasizes recognizable locations and moments inside the Death Star, including a functioning trash compactor noted in LEGO’s 2025 US catalog. Calling it a complete enclosed sphere would go beyond the available product description.

How is 75419 different from the older LEGO Death Star?
Set numbers matter: 75419 is the newer UCS diorama, while 75159 is an older Death Star model. LEGO’s official page describes 75159 as having over 4,000 pieces, compared with 9,023 in 75419. Piece count alone does not establish which build is better or how their formats and included scenes compare. LEGO’s product page for set 75159 identifies the older model.
