Ultimate Custom Night refers to Funtime Foxy with masculine pronouns, while references elsewhere in the franchise have used feminine pronouns. The most accurate answer is that the wording is inconsistent across appearances—not that every game establishes one universally agreed label.
What does Ultimate Custom Night say?
The character description for Funtime Foxy in Ultimate Custom Night uses “his”: “Check his curtain to see what time his show is set to begin, then be sure to watch his cam at that exact time to postpone the show, otherwise that is when your game will end.” The wording is documented in a fan-maintained transcription of the character description, so it supports a precise claim about the text attributed to UCN: that description refers to Funtime Foxy with masculine pronouns.
Why do people give different answers?
References associated with Sister Location reportedly use feminine pronouns for Funtime Foxy in HandUnit lines, while an Angsty Teen line uses a masculine reference. A fan-maintained trivia page summarizes these conflicting usages, which helps explain why fans encounter both answers. They are differences in the wording used across appearances, rather than evidence that every reference agrees on a single pronoun.
Does the voice or design settle it?
No. A voice performance, an actor credit, or a character’s appearance does not by itself establish gender. A fan-uploaded compilation of UCN voice lines credits Joe Gaudet, but that credit is not a gender statement. Likewise, color choices or inclusion in a challenge roster are not as direct as pronouns in character text.

It is also worth keeping Funtime Foxy distinct from other Foxy variants, particularly Mangle, whose own references are often brought into fan discussions. Evidence about one character should not be treated as a definitive answer about another.
What does the official game listing confirm?
Steam’s official listing for Ultimate Custom Night identifies Scott Cawthon as developer and publisher and gives the release date as June 27, 2018. It describes a game with 50 selectable animatronic characters and voice acting, but it does not assign Funtime Foxy a gender. The listing establishes the game context, not a franchise-wide answer to the pronoun question.
