There is no confirmed official winner. Dragon Ball DAIMA and Dragon Ball GT show their Super Saiyan 4 Gokus in different continuities and against different opponents, and the available official material does not provide a shared scale or direct comparison. The scenes offer reasons to discuss each version’s strength, but they do not establish which individual Goku is stronger.
What DAIMA shows about Super Saiyan 4 Goku
The official Dragon Ball site places mini Goku’s Super Saiyan 4 transformation in episode 19 and his climactic Kamehameha against Giant Gomah in episode 20. These moments establish the form’s role in DAIMA’s finale, but the episode descriptions do not compare its power with GT’s version or provide a numerical measure.

Toei Animation credits Akira Toriyama with DAIMA’s original work, story, and character designs, and lists Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru as animation character designer. Those are production credits, not a ranking of the form’s strength. Toei Animation’s DAIMA announcement
What GT shows about its Super Saiyan 4 Goku
The official franchise overview describes GT’s Super Saiyan 4 as drawing on Great Ape power. It also says the transformation changes Goku’s appearance, speech, and personality. Dragon Ball’s GT overview
#1 Best Overall
In the GT retrospective, individual SS4 Goku and Vegeta cannot hold their own against Yi-Shinron. SS4 Gogeta then overwhelms him, but that feat belongs to the fusion—not to Goku by himself. The feature says the fusion lasts about ten minutes. Dragon Ball’s GT character feature
Why the fights do not settle the comparison
- Different opponents: DAIMA’s climactic opponent is Giant Gomah; GT’s cited battle is against Yi-Shinron. A result against one does not measure performance against the other.
- Different story contexts: The series do not provide a controlled matchup, common power scale, or direct statement equating their forms.
- Individual Goku versus fusion: GT Gogeta’s dominance cannot be credited to individual GT Goku. Comparing DAIMA Goku with Gogeta would answer a different question.
- Gameplay descriptions are not rankings: Bandai Namco describes DAIMA SS4 Goku as powerful and oriented toward close combat in its FighterZ character page. That describes a playable character, not his in-universe standing against GT Goku.
What fans can reasonably infer
A fan-scaling argument can favor either version only by adding assumptions—for example, treating the scale of a particular opponent or a visual feat as comparable across the two series. Those assumptions may be useful for debate, but they are not an official answer. No numerical statistic or shared power value in the cited material settles the comparison, so a multiplier should not be presented as canon.

Verdict
DAIMA SS4 Goku may be argued to be stronger under a fan-made set of scaling assumptions, but the official evidence described here does not confirm that claim. GT’s most decisive cited display belongs to SS4 Gogeta, while DAIMA’s finale showcases its own Goku against Giant Gomah. For the two individual Gokus, the accurate answer is that the ranking remains unconfirmed.
