Jeffrey Dean Morgan voices Conquest in Invincible season 3, episode 7, “What Have I Done?” The casting reveal gives a satisfying answer to speculation sparked by a 2023 Instagram post—but that post was a clue fans interpreted, not a casting announcement. TechRadar’s Tom Power reported the episode reveal on March 6, 2025.
Who voices Conquest in Invincible?
Jeffrey Dean Morgan voices Conquest, the Viltrumite warrior introduced in season 3, episode 7, “What Have I Done?” TechRadar reported the casting when the episode arrived on Prime Video on March 6, 2025: TechRadar’s episode report.
What was the two-year-old Instagram post?
In January 2023, Morgan posted a photo of himself with two substantial Invincible comic compendiums, according to TechRadar’s account of the post. Fans began guessing which character he might play, and Conquest was among the possibilities. The image showed Morgan with the books; it did not identify a role or confirm that he had joined the show.
The post became meaningful in retrospect because the episode later revealed Morgan as Conquest. For the original post and speculation chronology, see Tom Power’s TechRadar report.

Did Robert Kirkman deny the rumor?
No. In a February 2023 interview quoted by TechRadar, Invincible co-creator Robert Kirkman offered a deliberately noncommittal explanation: “I mean – Jeffrey and I know each other. It’s possible he was just reading the comic books, which I think will disappoint many people.” He added, “But I wouldn’t want to spoil anything for future seasons.”
Kirkman did not confirm Morgan’s casting in that exchange, but neither did he rule it out. His comments left open the possibility of Morgan appearing in a future season. The distinction matters: the Instagram photo and interview fueled a theory; the episode’s casting reveal supplied the confirmation. TechRadar recounts the interview in its report on the rumor.
