Leslie Fhima has said that she and Prince knew each other and dated when they were 18, and that she inspired his song “Sexy Dancer.” The account is Fhima’s recollection, reported years later; the available coverage does not independently confirm either the romance or the song’s inspiration. Her later appearance on Bachelor in Paradise is a separate chapter of her story.
What Leslie Fhima has said about Prince
In a 2025 retrospective, Fhima described meeting Prince through her cousin Bobby Z, whom the article identifies as a drummer in Prince’s band The Revolution. “So, Bobby introduced us and, I mean, we’re the same age, and we were 18, and he was amazing,” she said, as quoted by TV Insider.

That report presents the teenage relationship as Fhima’s account. The available coverage does not include a statement from Prince, a named collaborator, or an official representative confirming that they dated. It is therefore more accurate to say Fhima has said she dated Prince than to present the relationship as independently established fact.
Did Fhima inspire Prince’s “Sexy Dancer”?
Fhima has also said that Prince’s “Sexy Dancer” was inspired by her. The TV Insider retrospective reports her claim, but the reviewed coverage does not offer independent confirmation from Prince, a collaborator, songwriting documentation, or his estate. The evidence supports attributing the claim to Fhima—not stating as fact that the song was written about her.

That distinction matters: the reported connection is a personal recollection about a famous musician and a particular song, not a confirmed account of the song’s origins.
The letters Fhima recalled receiving
In a 2024 interview transcript, Fhima recalled receiving illustrated letters from Prince and described them as “steamy.” She said the letters were in her car when it was repossessed, and that they were missing when she retrieved her belongings. Her account appears in a Reality Steve interview transcript; the letters themselves are not presented there for inspection.

How the Prince story differs from her Bachelor in Paradise romance
Fhima’s reported teenage connection to Prince predates her reality-TV appearances by decades. On Season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise, she formed a connection with Gary Levingston. The two left the show after not receiving a rose, according to Bachelor Nation’s August 5, 2025 report.
In that post-show update, Fhima said she and Levingston were in frequent contact but that she did not know what the relationship might become because they lived in different cities. She also said, “All I know is that for me, a big thing with any relationship, a romantic one for sure, is I want to be friends first.”

An August 13, 2025 Minnesota Star Tribune interview said the pair had reunited at events in Lake Tahoe and had a good time, while noting Levingston’s home in Palm Springs as a hurdle. These are dated post-show accounts, not confirmation of their relationship status now.
