The show behind the April 2025 headline is Paradise, Hulu’s thriller about a security team assigned to protect a former president. The updates reported at the time included Season 2 returning to production, a story expected to move beyond its underground bunker, and new cast members Shailene Woodley and Thomas Doherty. Those were reports from April 2025, not fresh announcements. Hulu now lists two seasons and 16 episodes.
What is Paradise about?
Hulu’s official synopsis describes the series as: “A security service team gets assigned to safeguard a former president.” The cast includes Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden, and Julianne Nicholson. BGR identifies Brown’s character, Xavier Collins, as a Secret Service agent who takes refuge with other survivors in an underground bunker after a catastrophe.

What updates were reported in April 2025?
In an article published April 7, 2025, BGR reported three developments concerning the then-upcoming second season. They should be read as a dated account, rather than current production news.
- Production: BGR said Season 2 was back in production, citing a post from the show’s official Instagram account.
- Story setting: The article reported that Sterling K. Brown had teased episodes venturing beyond the bunker.
- Cast: BGR reported that Shailene Woodley and Thomas Doherty were joining the cast. It described Woodley’s role as a prominent survivor connected to Xavier Collins’ mission.
The article’s linked Instagram post and Deadline report are not independently verified here, so no further details about their contents or the reported casting are established.
