What Hulu reportedly listed
On January 18, 2025, Animehunch reported that Hulu’s February schedule had briefly shown Dragon Ball DAIMA concluding with episode 20, then removed the anime from the schedule. The report described the listing as an accidental confirmation, while noting that the episode count was not officially confirmed at that point. How the 20-episode ending was confirmed
Toei Animation’s FY2025.3 investor presentation later stated that all 20 episodes aired from October 2024 to February 2025. That establishes the completed run, rather than merely predicting how many episodes would be made. See Toei Animation’s investor presentation.
Hulu Japan independently lists season 1, episode 20, titled “Zenkai,” as the season finale. Together, the two official records confirm that episode 20 is the ending. View Hulu Japan’s episode listing.

Why Hulu may show 40 entries
A current U.S. Hulu catalog search result showed one season with 40 episode entries; an older surfaced Hulu result showed 20. The available information does not explain the difference. A catalog entry count alone does not establish that the series has 40 distinct story episodes, and there is not enough evidence to attribute the discrepancy to dubbed versions, subtitled versions, or another cause. Toei announced weekly subtitled Crunchyroll streaming from October 11, 2024, in the United States, Canada, Latin America including Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, and Southeast Asia. The official series site lists Hulu for North America and Crunchyroll and Netflix worldwide.
