When did Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness announce their separation?
Jackman and Furness announced their separation in September 2023, after 27 years of marriage. Their joint statement said they had decided to separate “to pursue our individual growth” and asked for privacy while their family navigated the transition. The Associated Press also reported the announcement and quoted the couple saying their family was their highest priority. ABC News · The Associated Press
Was the blooper connected to the separation?
The separation announcement came months before PerthNow’s report about the April 2024 clip. Neither the reported caption nor the separation statement connects the two, so the video should not be treated as a response to the breakup or evidence of Jackman’s state of mind.
