What Howard Stern Said About Diddy’s Parties—and What Usher Told Him

The available reporting documents Usher discussing life at Combs’s home on Stern’s show, not Stern revealing shocking details about Combs’s parties.

The available reporting does not verify that Howard Stern revealed shocking details about Sean “Diddy” Combs’s house parties. The documented connection is that Usher discussed living at Combs’s home as a teenager during a 2016 appearance on Stern’s show. Separately, Stern has been reported as an attendee at Combs’s White Parties; that fact does not establish that he knew about or took part in alleged misconduct.

What is actually documented about Stern and Combs?

A March 2024 report by The Wrap revisited Usher’s 2016 interview on The Howard Stern Show. Usher spoke about living with Combs when he was a teenager. That is the specific Stern-related account supported by the reporting here.

The available account does not establish that Stern described a particular Combs house party or disclosed firsthand knowledge of events there. Without a verified recording, transcript, or report identifying such a statement, the sensational claim in the headline should not be treated as fact.

What did Usher say about living with Combs?

Usher’s interview concerned his experience living at Combs’s home as a teenager. The Wrap’s report connects that discussion to the phrase “very curious things,” but the material available here does not verify a direct quotation from the original interview. It is therefore more accurate to describe this as reporting about Usher’s account than to put words in Usher’s or Stern’s mouth.

Were Stern’s reported White Party appearances the same thing?

No. Combs’s White Parties were publicized celebrity events; a separate October 2024 Washington Post report listed Stern among reported attendees. That report also described allegations made in a civil complaint and Combs’s spokesperson’s denial. A reported appearance at an event is not evidence that an attendee knew of, participated in, or was responsible for alleged wrongdoing. Nor does it show that a public White Party was the same as a separately alleged private encounter.

How the criminal case changed the context

On September 17, 2024, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York announced an indictment charging Combs with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The Justice Department expressly described the charges as allegations, not established facts. The announcement is an account of the charges at that point in the case, not a finding about Stern or White Party attendees.

The later trial produced a mixed verdict: the jury convicted Combs on two prostitution-related counts and acquitted him of racketeering conspiracy and sex-trafficking charges. In October 2025, he was sentenced to four years and two months in prison, according to the Associated Press. The verdict should not be described as proof of the acquitted charges, and it did not decide unrelated civil claims.

How to read claims linking Stern to the parties

  • Interview: Usher’s account of living at Combs’s home, discussed on Stern’s show in 2016.
  • Party attendance: Reporting that Stern attended White Parties, which does not establish knowledge or involvement in misconduct.
  • Civil complaint: Allegations by a plaintiff are claims, not findings; the cited Washington Post report also records Combs’s spokesperson’s denial.
  • Criminal case: The indictment was a set of allegations; the later verdict and sentence must be reported separately and precisely.
