How many episodes are there, and when did they arrive?
The 2025 edition expands the original eight-episode series with a new ninth episode. Disney scheduled the episodes in three batches, with the final batch arriving November 28, 2025:

What is new in episode nine?
The new episode turns to the making of the original Anthology project. It includes previously unseen footage of Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr working on the project in 1994–1995, alongside reflections on their time together. The earlier eight episodes trace the Beatles’ story from Liverpool and Hamburg through Beatlemania, their arrival in the United States, the counterculture years, India, and the breakup, using the band members’ accounts of their history. What does the restoration change?
Apple Corps’ production team worked with Peter Jackson’s WingNut Films and Park Road Post on the restoration. Giles Martin created new audio mixes for most of the featured music. Disney’s press notes quote co-producer Martin R. Smith describing the source material: “In almost every instance, from every archive provider, the original film had been kept,” he says. “So, we had an embarrassment of riches.” Disney’s press notes attribute the quote and describe the restoration.

No book or music release is needed to stream the documentary. For optional related material, the official campaign page lists a reissue of The Beatles Anthology book, with over 1,300 images, letters, and other memorabilia, as well as the Anthology Collection on CD and vinyl. The book is archival reading; the CDs and records are listening formats, not viewing access. The Beatles’ official campaign page lists these companion releases.
