Dragon Ball does not give Mastered Ultra Instinct (MUI) Goku an official numerical speed. Official material describes Ultra Instinct as allowing the body to react instinctively to threats, which speaks to combat reactions and evasion—not a measured travel speed or a number of times faster than light.
Does Dragon Ball give MUI Goku an exact speed?
No exact speed figure appears in the official sources cited here. They do not establish a velocity, an FTL multiplier, or a definitive numerical ranking against another character.
The key distinction is between reaction speed—how quickly a fighter responds to an attack—and travel speed—how quickly they move from one place to another. A description of instinctive reactions does not, by itself, quantify either one.
What official sources say about Ultra Instinct
A DRAGON BALL OFFICIAL SITE feature published March 22, 2022, describes Ultra Instinct -Sign- as an incomplete form that is difficult to maintain. Discussing the form’s representation in Dragon Ball Legends, it says the user’s body can “automatically and instinctually react to any threat.” That supports a qualitative description of responsiveness, not a speed statistic for MUI Goku. The feature discusses Ultra Instinct -Sign-, not a numerical measurement of Mastered Ultra Instinct. The names and forms should not be treated as interchangeable evidence for a specific speed figure.
What the game description does—and does not—prove
A Bandai Namco Dragon Ball Legends page dated May 23, 2025, describes a character’s ability to evade certain Strike and Blast attacks through a Unique Gauge mechanic. That is a gameplay mechanic, not a claim that an anime or manga character has a particular speed. The page also says its content was still under development and subject to change. Is MUI Goku’s speed “immeasurable”?
CyberPost called MUI Goku’s speed “immeasurable” in a February 20, 2026 article. That is the publisher’s power-scaling interpretation, not an official Dragon Ball statistic. No official number in the cited material confirms the label. Read CyberPost’s interpretation.
Likewise, automatic evasion does not establish infinite travel speed or literal time manipulation. Those conclusions go beyond what the official descriptions say.

Can MUI Goku be ranked against Whis or another character?
