A later report gave a different estimate of $110 million; neither figure is an officially confirmed court amount.
What was the reported settlement amount?
The strongest contemporaneous figure in the available reporting is approximately $100 million. In July 2010, TMZ reported that the estimate came from a source it said had direct knowledge of the property settlement agreement. That is a reported estimate, not a figure verified in a published settlement document.
The distinction matters: reports described the divorce documents as not disclosing the settlement terms. The cited public record therefore does not establish precisely how much Nordegren received, or how any settlement was structured.
Why do reports give different numbers?
| Reported figure | What the source said | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| About $100 million | TMZ’s July 2010 report attributed the estimate to a source it said knew the property settlement agreement. | The clearest contemporaneous estimate in the cited coverage, but not confirmed by public court documents. |
| $110 million | A later RadarOnline report attributed the figure to a friend; the Siemon Law Firm recounted that report in October 2010. | A separate, less direct report, not a confirmation from the parties or the court. |
| $750 million | The figure circulated before the divorce was finalized. The Guardian described the varying estimates as speculation, and TMZ disputed the $750 million claim. | A rumor, not an established settlement amount. |
The Siemon Law Firm’s account of the $110 million figure traces it to a friend quoted by RadarOnline. That sourcing is different from TMZ’s description of its own source, and neither account makes the figure a court-confirmed fact.

What is known about the divorce?
The divorce was finalized on August 23, 2010, in Panama City, Florida. Contemporary reports placed the proceedings in Bay County Circuit Court and said the settlement terms were not disclosed in the documents. The Los Angeles Times reported that the couple’s joint statement emphasized their children’s well-being and privacy rather than money.
The statement said: “We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future.” It also said their discussions had focused primarily on their children’s future well-being. Neither party is reliably quoted in the cited coverage confirming a settlement amount.
