Meghan Markle marked Lilibet’s fifth birthday on June 4, 2026, with two photos on Instagram and the caption, “Our dream girl. Happy 5th birthday, Lili”. The posts showed Harry holding Lilibet in a family portrait and Lilibet standing barefoot outdoors, reaching toward flowers. Public reports do not describe the family’s private plans for the day.
What Meghan shared for Lilibet’s fifth birthday
The two images offered a brief public glimpse of the occasion. In one, Prince Harry holds Lilibet while Meghan stands beside them. In the other, Lilibet is outdoors, barefoot and reaching toward flowers. Meghan’s caption read, “Our dream girl. Happy 5th birthday, Lili”. ITV News reported the photos and caption, as did ABC News and Good Morning America.

What is known about the birthday itself
Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born on June 4, 2021, in Santa Barbara, California, so she turned five on June 4, 2026. The reporting documents Meghan’s public birthday tribute, but does not establish details of a private party, gifts, guest list or other activities. The photos should not be taken as a record of how the family spent the rest of the day.
How the 2026 posts differed from the fourth-birthday tribute
For Lilibet’s fourth birthday in 2025, Meghan shared black-and-white photos and a birthday message, then posted more photos of Harry with Lilibet and a video of the couple dancing in a hospital room before Lilibet’s birth. ABC News Australia reported on those posts and quoted Meghan’s caption: “Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives — and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!”

A separate ABC News report says the family took the children to Disneyland for the fourth birthday in 2025. That outing was reported for the prior year; it should not be confused with Lilibet’s fifth birthday in 2026.
