Jack Gleeson has not been shown to have publicly explained how he feels today about his specific role in Batman Begins. A 2015 account says the attention he received as “the kid from Batman” troubled him, but that is a report about the attention—not a direct statement that he regrets or dislikes the role.
Who was the kid in Batman Begins?
Gleeson played a character credited as “Little Boy.” The character appears in a balcony exchange with Batman and later in a scene involving Rachel Dawes, according to the film’s IMDb cast listing. A 2015 retrospective account says Gleeson was 12 when he was cast.

What did Gleeson say about being recognized?
A 2015 Babcock Studios article says people began identifying him as “the kid from Batman” and characterizes the resulting attention as troubling to him. It is a retrospective account, not a transcript of Gleeson discussing his current feelings about the character or film.
That distinction matters: the reporting suggests that recognition was difficult for him, but it does not establish that he disliked making Batman Begins or regrets appearing in it.

How do his comments about acting and fame add context?
His relationship with acting
In a 2014 interview reported by TIME, Gleeson described a broader change in how he felt about acting as it shifted from recreation toward a possible career:
“I’ve been acting since age eight. I just stopped enjoying it as much as I used to. And now there’s the prospect of doing it for a living, whereas up until now it was always something I did for recreation with my friends, or in the summer for some fun. I enjoyed it. When you make a living from something, it changes your relationship with it. It’s not like I hate it, it’s just not what I want to do.”

He was talking about acting generally, not making a specific judgment about his part in Batman Begins.
His views on celebrity
TIME also reported remarks from an Oxford Union talk in which Gleeson criticized fame. He described “the superficial elevation and commodification of it all, juxtaposed with the grotesque self-involvement it would sometimes draw out of me.” TIME also quoted him calling fame “embarrassing” and celebrity an exercise in “dehumanization.” Those comments concern fame broadly; they do not show that he regrets this early film role.

Has he given a definitive opinion about the role?
The available accounts do not establish a present-day, role-specific view from Gleeson. A 2016 University Times interview discusses his university life and mentions Batman Begins as an early role, but does not report him saying how he feels about that part.
The most careful conclusion is that the attention attached to the role was reportedly uncomfortable for him. His comments about acting and celebrity help explain his broader perspective, but they should not be treated as proof that he dislikes the film or wishes he had not played the boy.
