Johnny Galecki spoke warmly about working with Aarti Mann on The Big Bang Theory, praising her work ethic and saying she fit naturally with the cast. He also thought the Leonard-Priya romance made sense because Priya was Leonard’s intellectual equivalent.
What Johnny Galecki said about Aarti Mann
In a TVLine interview published February 24, 2011, Galecki was asked about the Leonard-Priya storyline. He replied: “I thought it made a whole lotta sense. She did one episode this season, and we just really loved Aarti [Mann], and her work ethic kind of melded with everybody else’s. And it makes sense as far as the characters. She is Leonard’s sort of intellectual equivalent, so they’re able to communicate more effortlessly than Leonard and Penny (Kaley Cuoco), certainly.” Read the TVLine interview.
Why Galecki thought Leonard and Priya made sense
Galecki’s answer joined his praise for Mann’s contribution to the ensemble with his view of the characters. He saw Priya and Leonard as intellectual equals, which, in his view, made communication between them easier than between Leonard and Penny.

What his comments do—and do not—show
Galecki’s words support a positive professional assessment: he said the group loved Mann and that her work ethic blended with the cast. He did not describe a close private friendship or give a detailed account of their day-to-day interactions, so the comments should not be read as evidence about their personal relationship.
