Yes. What began as a May 2024 report that Home and Away co-stars Ada Nicodemou and James Stewart were dating became a relationship Nicodemou publicly confirmed in July 2024. They announced their engagement in February 2026; later coverage in September 2026 still described them as a real-life couple. Their characters’ on-screen wedding was not a real-life wedding.
What was reported after Leah and Justin’s on-screen wedding?
In May 2024, PerthNow reported that Nicodemou and Stewart were dating after their characters, Leah Patterson and Justin Morgan, married on Home and Away. The story attributed the claim that they had been seeing each other for months to The Sunday Telegraph and described the actors being seen kissing on Anzac Day. At that point, the dating story was a media report, not a public confirmation from either actor. PerthNow’s May 2024 report captured that distinction.

When did Ada Nicodemou confirm the relationship?
Nicodemou confirmed the relationship in an interview with Stellar, reported by PerthNow on 21 July 2024. “Jimmy and I are together, yes. It’s only early days,” she said, describing it as recent, unexpected and lovely. That confirmation turned the earlier speculation into a publicly acknowledged relationship. Read PerthNow’s report of the confirmation.
How the relationship developed in public
Nicodemou discussed the attention in 2024
In a September 2024 No Filter interview, Nicodemou spoke about the relationship, their first off-screen kiss, paparazzi and the pressure of public attention. The conversation offers her perspective on how a private relationship became a public story, without establishing private motives beyond what she chose to discuss. Leah and Justin’s wedding happened in the fictional world of Home and Away. Nicodemou and Stewart later confirmed their real-life relationship and announced an engagement, but the sources cited here do not report that they married. Keeping those events separate avoids turning a storyline into a claim about the actors’ lives.
