En una entrevista con Carole Joseph para People en Español, actualizada el 23 de febrero de 2024, Joe Joe contó que siempre había apoyado los proyectos de su madre y que respetaba su decisión de participar en el reality de Telemundo. También reconoció que le habría gustado tenerla cerca: “Sé que no es algo fácil y me gustaría tenerla acá pero es su determinación y se la respeto”.
Según su relato, Maripily estaba ansiosa antes de entrar porque le preocupaba separarse de su hijo y de sus negocios. No se despidieron en persona; él le dejó un mensaje deseándole éxito.
Su opinión sobre los conflictos dentro de la casa
Al hablar de las tensiones entre participantes, Joe Joe dijo que el drama y las exageraciones formaban parte del formato, y que le parecía aceptable mientras no hubiera agresión física. Describió lo que interpretaba como admiración mezclada con rabia como envidia: “Esos reality son así, hay de todo, drama, exageraciones y admiración con rabia que no es otra cosa que envidia”.

Por qué dijo que el público decidía el resultado
Joe Joe sostuvo que el desenlace dependía de la audiencia: “Al final del día es un juego y el público es quien decide”.
