Hoda Kotb reunited with Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker at 30 Rockefeller Plaza on November 20, 2025, for a rehearsal ahead of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The three later hosted the 99th parade telecast on November 27. Kotb’s return was for the broadcast—not a return to her regular role on TODAY.
When did Hoda Kotb reunite with Savannah Guthrie?
The reunion took place during a parade read-through and rehearsal on November 20, 2025, at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. The reported read-through was in Studio 8H. Kotb, Guthrie, and Roker held their scripts for photos as they prepared to share the upcoming telecast.
The rehearsal was a week before parade day. NBCUniversal announced that Kotb would join Guthrie and Roker as a host of the November 27 broadcast, the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Why was Hoda Kotb back with the TODAY hosts?
Kotb had stepped away from TODAY, but she wanted to keep working on the parade. In comments to the Associated Press, she said: “One was the Olympics and the other were these parades because they’re just such fun, this one especially.” That was her explanation for wanting to continue with the events after leaving the network, not a remark made during the rehearsal.
