The reported premise brings the holiday romance down to a neighborly scale: two people flirt across their windows. Lacey Chabert described the project in the report as “a fun little wink to the genre. It’s light and whimsical, and I love that it has a cheeky twist.”
Is this a Hot Frosty sequel?
No. Maybe This Christmas is reported as a new reunion project, not a continuation of Hot Frosty. Netflix announced Hot Frosty in May 2024 as a holiday romantic-comedy feature directed by Jerry Ciccoritti and written by Russell Hainline, with Chabert and Milligan among its cast. In the film, Cathy brings a snowman to life. Netflix’s announcement and its later Tudum coverage describe the film; Tudum says it premiered November 13, 2024.
