Sofía Vergara grew her business portfolio through several different routes: she co-founded a talent and marketing company, used television visibility to pursue endorsements and licensing, and later partnered on consumer brands including EBY and Toty. Those roles are not interchangeable—and the available figures do not establish her current net worth or the value of her private companies.
She began by building a business platform, not just a celebrity brand
In a 2012 profile, ABC News described Latin World Entertainment (LatinWE), co-founded by Vergara and Luis Balaguer, as a company spanning talent management, marketing, production, endorsements, and licensing. The founders saw an opportunity to provide Latino talent with professional representation and develop its commercial potential. That breadth made LatinWE more than a vehicle for Vergara’s personal projects: it was a services business operating across entertainment and advertising. ABC News’ 2012 profile documents that historical description; it does not establish the company’s present status or finances.
Television visibility widened her commercial opportunities
Vergara’s profile as an actor gave brands and licensees a reason to reach out, while her business choices translated that visibility into different kinds of deals. In a 2013 Vogue profile, she said the success of Modern Family helped make possible businesses and causes she had wanted to pursue. The article also covered her Kmart collection and endorsements.
That is best understood as an enabling platform, not proof that one role or deal created her business success. A television role, an endorsement, and a licensed product collection each monetize public recognition differently—and do not necessarily give the celebrity the same ownership or control.
Endorsements and licensing brought in commercial income
Vergara’s commercial work included paid endorsements and a Kmart licensing deal. ABC News reported that her estimated earnings from May 2011 to May 2012 were $19 million, combining acting income, endorsements, and licensing. That is a dated earnings estimate reported in 2012, not a current net-worth figure or an account of what any single business earned.
In a 2017 CBS News interview, Vergara described her personal standard for endorsements: “It has to be something that I believe in, something that I’ve used my whole life.” That statement explains her stated approach; it does not independently verify the terms or performance of every partnership.

EBY connected an underwear brand with a stated microfinance mission
In 2017, Vergara and Renata Black introduced EBY, short for Empowered By You, as an underwear venture. The founders linked the brand to a nonprofit microfinance initiative intended to help women start small businesses. CBS News reported at launch that 10% of sales would support the initiative. That is a launch-era commitment as reported in 2017, not evidence of a current contribution rate or a verified total impact.
Telemundo’s coverage described the launch and the partners’ stated model. The key distinction is that EBY was a consumer product venture connected to a social-finance aim; its structure and role in Vergara’s portfolio differ from an endorsement or a talent-management company.
Toty is a skincare and sun-care joint venture
Toty is a skincare and sun-care brand developed as a joint venture with Cantabria Labs, according to the brand’s official about page. The company’s official catalog currently lists products including Ilumina CC Cream SPF 50+, Solaria Mineral SPF 50+, body SPF products, and other skincare items. The official European site records a launch in Spain on July 2, 2025.
Vergara has described discovering a Cantabria Labs product in Spain as the inspiration for her involvement. Toty’s own site attributes the brand’s product and skincare claims to its company and partner; those claims should not be mistaken for an independent clinical assessment. Toty is a partnership in consumer products, distinct from the historical representation and licensing work associated with LatinWE.

How the ventures differ—and what the figures can establish
Vergara’s portfolio is clearer when each activity is described by its business model and her relationship to it. The evidence supports a chronology and a distinction among roles, but not a comparison of current profitability.
| Business or activity | Model | Vergara’s role supported by the sources | What the evidence establishes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Latin World Entertainment | Talent management, marketing, production, endorsements, and licensing services | Co-founder with Luis Balaguer, as reported by ABC News in 2012 | A historical company description; current status and revenue are not established by that report. |
| Kmart collection and endorsements | Product licensing and paid brand partnerships | Licensing partner and spokesperson, as described in dated reporting | ABC News included acting, endorsements, and licensing in its 2012 estimate of $19 million in earnings from May 2011 to May 2012; that estimate is not current net worth. |
| EBY | Underwear venture linked at launch to a nonprofit microfinance initiative | Co-founder with Renata Black, according to 2017 coverage | CBS News reported a 10% sales contribution as the launch-era stated model in 2017; current rate and cumulative impact are not established. |
| Toty | Skincare and sun-care consumer brand | Partner in a joint venture with Cantabria Labs, according to Toty | The official catalog lists products, and the European site records a Spain launch on July 2, 2025; current revenue is not stated. |
These records do not establish a current consolidated net worth, LatinWE revenue, Toty revenue, or EBY’s cumulative impact. They do show how Vergara’s business activity moved among services, licensing and endorsements, and ventures selling consumer products—with different levels of participation in each.
