In PerthNow’s account of the all-ages show, Tones and I joined him for two songs, the crowd heard a mix of familiar hits and newer material, and the rapper called the finale an end-of-an-era moment.
When and where Macklemore played in Perth
The concert took place at HBF Stadium on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. It was the second of two consecutive Perth dates and the final Australian stop on the tour. Frontier Touring’s routing announcement lists both May 20 and May 21 at the venue; VenuesWest’s 2023–24 annual report also confirms two Macklemore shows there.
PerthNow reviewed the Tuesday show as an all-ages event. The outlet reported that local performer Nick Beeba warmed up a crowd of 4,500. That figure is the reviewer’s reported attendance, not a separately verified venue statistic. PerthNow gave the concert 4.5 out of 5 stars.
What happened during the show
PerthNow describes a set that moved between crowd favorites and newer songs. Its review mentions “Thrift Shop,” “Downtown,” “Glorious,” “Same Love,” “Hind’s Hall” and “Can’t Hold Us,” as well as “CHANT” and “Good Old Days.” Tones and I joined Macklemore onstage for the latter two, according to the review.

This is an account of songs highlighted in the review, not a verified complete setlist for May 21. Setlist.fm documents an 18-song performance on Monday, May 20, including several of the same tracks, but that page covers the preceding night and cannot establish Tuesday’s full running order.

The tour took its name from Macklemore’s 2023 album BEN. PerthNow reported that he framed the closing show as a shared turning point, saying: “End of an era, end of a chapter. And I’m so grateful that we get to spend it together here.” The review also attributes this closing line to him: “That is how you end a f***ing tour.” These quotations are reported by PerthNow; an independent transcript was not established.
There was also a charitable component to the Australian and New Zealand tour: Frontier Touring said that $1 AUD or $1 NZD per ticket would support adolescents and families affected by substance abuse through PLUS1. That was a tour-specific contribution, not a current donation offer.
