Kat Von D’s official website currently foregrounds music, shoes and merchandise. Her Bandcamp discography lists My Side of the Mountain, released September 20, 2024. The artist page describes it as her sophomore album and discusses themes of love and sobriety. Visit her official website and see the album on Bandcamp.
In a June 2024 interview with Soundsphere, she described renovating a Victorian house and homestead in the rural Midwest. She said she was trying to get her family settled before the album release and touring, describing days spent “covered in dust and sweat.” That is a snapshot from the interview, not confirmation that the renovation or move is still underway. Hot Press reported in 2025 on her European and UK touring activity, including a Dublin show scheduled for June 21 that year. Those dates are historical; the report does not establish a current 2026 itinerary. Why she left the makeup company
Kat Von D left her namesake makeup business in January 2020, selling her shares to Kendo, which became the company’s sole owner. The business then operated as KVD Vegan Beauty. In the departure announcement, she said: “That was no easy decision, but after much consideration, I decided I wanted the makeup line to continue to thrive and grow, and KENDO is perfectly positioned to do just that.” The announcement said she planned to focus on artistic projects, including a vegan shoe collection and an album. KVD Beauty is now separate from Kat Von D
The KVD name continued after her departure, but the brand is a separate business. Beauty Independent reported in September 2025 that Windsong Global acquired KVD Beauty from Kendo. The report described Tattoo Liner as a leading product and said Amazon was on the new owner’s distribution roadmap; it did not verify a live Amazon listing. In an interview transcript hosted by another outlet, Von D said: “I have nothing to do with it. I don’t know who they’re hiring. I don’t follow them. I don’t know what products they’re making.” She also said she regretted that people still thought she owned the company. That distinction matters when discussing products or brand claims. KVD Beauty’s own site describes its range as vegan and cruelty-free; that is the company’s stated description, not an independent certification or a statement by Von D. See KVD Beauty’s description of its products.

What “doing today” means—and what the dates establish
The available dated information points to music and creative projects after her 2020 exit from the beauty business. It documents a 2024 album release, a 2024 account of home renovation and plans, and 2025 touring coverage. It does not establish what she is doing day to day in 2026 or confirm any upcoming concert dates.
