Adam Sandler tops Celebrity Net Worth’s all-time ranking of Saturday Night Live alumni, at an estimated net worth of $440 million; the same ranking places Robert Downey Jr. second at $300 million. These are publisher estimates of net worth—not audited figures for career earnings or SNL pay—so they are best read as reported rankings, not a definitive measure of who earned the most.
Who ranks highest in published estimates?
Celebrity Net Worth’s approximately 2025 ranking names Adam Sandler as its richest SNL alum, with an estimated net worth of $440 million, followed by Robert Downey Jr. at $300 million. The outlet points to their work in film and production when explaining the estimates, but does not provide verified income breakdowns. Celebrity Net Worth’s ranking
Those figures are estimates attributed to that publication. They do not establish either performer’s actual assets and debts, cumulative career earnings, or total compensation from the show.
Why “highest earning” is not the same as “richest”
Net worth is an estimate of a person’s assets minus liabilities at a given time. Career earnings, by contrast, refer to income accumulated over a career before accounting for expenses, taxes, investments, and debts. SNL salary is narrower still: it refers to compensation for work on the show.
The available rankings use reported or estimated net worth, not comparable, independently verified records of lifetime earnings. There is therefore no supported way to declare from these figures who earned the most over an entire career.

Parade’s 2026 ranking is a separate list with its own selected roster and reported figures. Its entries should not be merged with Celebrity Net Worth’s estimates into a single league table: the figures come from different publishers, and the sources do not establish a consistent method or comparable financial records.

Celebrity Net Worth’s 2026 salary article reports a first-year cast-member pay figure of $3,000 per episode, attributing it to a December 2024 TikTok interview with Pete Davidson. It also reports a top pay tier of $25,000 per episode. These are secondary-source salary figures, not a complete record of every cast member’s contract or career income. Per-episode pay for SNL cannot determine which alum accumulated the most wealth. It covers only reported compensation for the show, while a person’s broader career may include film, television, producing, and other work—and wealth also depends on expenses, taxes, investments, and liabilities.
