| Ticket | Guide-listed price | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| General Skate | Starts at $22 per person, excluding skate rental | One 60-minute skating session |
| VIP Skate | Starts at $112 | One 60-minute session, priority ice access, complimentary skate rental, and access to dedicated VIP spaces, including a heated lounge with warm beverages and snacks |

Do you need to bring skates?
No. You may bring your own skates or add skate rental to General Skate. Rockefeller Center’s 2026 guide lists rental at $12; confirm the price and rental option when booking. VIP Skate includes complimentary rental.

Penguin Skate Aids are available to rent on site for skaters who want extra support, but the guide says they cannot be reserved in advance. Phones, cameras, and personal belongings cannot be taken onto the ice.
Where do you enter, and where can you store belongings?
Entry instructions depend on your visit date. Rockefeller Center’s 2026 guide describes a temporary check-in beneath 30 Rockefeller Plaza near Daily Provisions through November 13. Beginning November 14, entry is scheduled to move to the new Skate House on 49th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, next to Kate Spade. The ticket page identifies the rink entrance at rink level on 49th Street between those avenues. Use the entrance instructions on your ticket and recheck the official page, especially for dates near the changeover.

Rockefeller Center’s posted guidance says children under 6 must skate with an adult, and children ages 7–13 must be supervised. Check the venue’s current rules when planning a family visit.
What should you wear and bring?
The rink is outdoors. Rockefeller Center recommends dressing for the weather and allowing time to check in, collect rental skates, and get ready. Its local guide suggests light layers; that is venue advice, not a dress code. Bring personal skates only if you prefer to use your own—the rink offers rentals.
