Bandai’s GUNDAM ASSEMBLE is a miniature tabletop game built around roughly 5 cm Gunpla—not simply a new conventional model-kit release. The “debut trailer” framing needs a date check: the official project teaser appeared on January 4, 2025, while Bandai’s 2026 launch announcement identifies a separate video as the “BRAND PV.”
Which Gundam Assemble video is the debut trailer?
The official GUNDAM ASSEMBLE OFFICIAL TEASER VIDEO was published by GUNDAM CHANNEL INTL on January 4, 2025. Bandai’s 2026 US launch announcement separately lists a “GUNDAM ASSEMBLE – BRAND PV.” Those are distinct promotional videos; without a specific link to the video described as the debut trailer, it is not possible to identify which one that headline refers to.
The 2025 teaser described the project as “a tabletop game that uses approximately 5 cm-sized Gunpla to battles.” It also said detailed rules and product specifications would be announced later. That describes the early teaser, not the fuller basic gameplay outline Bandai provided in 2026.
What is GUNDAM ASSEMBLE?
Bandai describes GUNDAM ASSEMBLE as a competitive miniature tabletop game using mobile suits and other units from the Gundam series as playing pieces. Players assemble and paint the miniatures, combine units with tactical cards, use terrain, and resolve attacks with dice. Bandai says the minimum squad configuration is three units against three, and characterizes the rules as designed for short matches. The overview does not establish a match duration.

What comes in Starter Set 01?
Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America describes the GUNDAM ASSEMBLE STARTER SET 01 as a comprehensive package for play. Its contents are:
- Six miniatures: RX-78-2 Gundam, Char’s Zaku II, Wing Gundam Zero EW, Gundam Epyon, Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex, and Gundam Vidar.
- 18 tactics cards and six unit cards.
- A game map, ten-sided dice, cardboard terrain, tokens, a handbook, and two quick-reference sheets.
The set’s six figures accommodate the stated minimum three-versus-three setup. Bandai has also named Expansion Packs 01–04 in its lineup; the starter set should not be confused with the earlier, distinct Premium Card Collection GUNDAM ASSEMBLE Set – Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS, which combines three miniatures with cards and an instruction/play sheet.

When does GUNDAM ASSEMBLE come out, and how much does it cost?
Dates and prices vary by market and official listing. Bandai’s US announcement gives the starter set a $35 MSRP and an October 2026 release month; the Bandai Namco Entertainment America store lists it at $34.99 with an expected November 1, 2026 release date. Japan’s official Gundam site lists ¥3,850 including tax and says a worldwide release is planned for October 31, 2026, excluding some regions.

The official Japan announcement also lists Starter Set 01 and Expansion Packs 01 and 02 for October 31, followed by Deluxe Set 01 and Expansion Packs 03 and 04 in November. Its free Tokyo launch event at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA was scheduled for October 15–18, 2026.
