UPI identified Andrea Cargill as Ford’s wife in a report published March 15, 2022. The report said they had dated for three years before marrying. UPI’s report is the named-source confirmation of the marriage and relationship duration.
When did they get married?
The available reports disagree about the month, and neither establishes a precise wedding date. UPI’s March 15, 2022 story says Ford and Cargill married in December after three years of dating, but it does not specify which year. A March 16, 2022 article from DoYouRemember says they married in September of the prior year. DoYouRemember’s account therefore conflicts with UPI on the month.

Because the reports do not agree, it is safest to say that Ford and Cargill were married by March 2022 rather than present a particular month or date as settled fact.
Was it a surprise wedding?
A photographer’s account titled “Andrea & Steve | Married” describes a surprise ceremony near Lake Placid, New York, followed by an outdoor celebration and a reception at Andrea’s parents’ camp. It says an intended Mount Jo ceremony shifted to Heaven Hills Trail. However, the account gives no surnames, and the available reporting does not independently establish that the people in the photographs are Ford and Cargill. Its description cannot be treated as verified details of their wedding. Erin Marie Photography’s account documents the event it photographed, but does not identify the couple as the HGTV host and Cargill.

UPI reported in March 2022 that Ford and Cargill were expecting a son in June. The article attributed this comment to Ford, speaking to People: “It’s going to be awesome to be a dad, and I know that Andrea will be an incredible mom.” This is a remark about becoming a parent, not a wedding-day statement; the cited coverage does not provide a securely attributed quote from either of them about the wedding itself.
