Halle Berry shared a playful Mother’s Day video from bed with boyfriend Van Hunt on May 11, 2025, while the couple were in Cannes, France. The clip showed a travel-size tube of her Respin Let’s Spin intimacy gel. On June 4, Berry addressed criticism of the post during an appearance on Today With Jenna & Friends.
What Berry showed in the May 11 video
In the clip, Berry teased how she planned to end Mother’s Day. “I showed y’all how my Mother’s Day started, and now I’m gonna tell you about—I’m not gonna show you!—I’m gonna tell you about how my Mother’s Day is gonna end,” she said, according to E! News.
Berry held up a small red tube of Respin’s travel-size Let’s Spin intimacy gel. E! News reported that she said it was her first time traveling with the product and that she and Hunt were about to try it. She signed off: “I hope all of you are somewhere spinning!”
The video was filmed in Cannes, France, ahead of the Cannes Film Festival, E! News reported. Hunt also joked, “I wish you’d hurry up, too,” and the pair said, “We’re about to Cannes with Van!”

Berry also shared a family-focused message for the holiday, celebrating motherhood and her children. Her post read: “Happy Mother’s Day to all the glorious moms around the world! Today, I celebrate the beautiful chaos, the deep love, and the profound privilege of motherhood.”
