HIO’s website identifies Arabian Prince as CIO and describes him as a songwriter, rapper, producer, DJ, technologist, and founding member of N.W.A. HIO’s own site confirms the title. The appointment’s stated purpose is described in a secondary report on Binance Square: enhance user experience and develop solutions to engage artists and listeners and empower artists financially.

The report quotes HIO founder Ryder Havdale saying Arabian Prince’s expertise at the intersection of music and technology would support the company’s innovation ambitions. It also quotes Arabian Prince saying he was excited to join a platform focused on musical artistry and new ways to create, share, and experience music. These remarks appear in the secondary report; the sources here do not include a primary interview or transcript against which to verify them.
The practical significance of the appointment, then, is a stated product and artist-experience agenda. The sources do not show that the role has already produced higher artist earnings, improved usability, or greater platform adoption.

How HIO says it supports artists
HIO presents itself as a streaming platform that directs subscription revenue to artists and rights holders. Its website says that “100% of subscriptions fees go to the Artists and Rights Holders you listen to.” That is HIO’s description of its model, not an independently audited finding about payouts, calculations, or timing. The site also describes the service as designed to reward artists and community builders.
In a November 21, 2024 company release carried by GlobeNewswire, HIO said it was working with George Brown University through the university’s AI program on a music-discovery engine. That release also described a 100% subscription revenue-sharing model. Both are company-reported claims; the release does not provide independent evidence of the model’s financial outcomes or the discovery engine’s performance.

What is known about HIO’s catalog and product roadmap
As of October 8, 2026, HIO’s website says it has “6 Million songs currently under license” and “100 Million on the way.” These are current company website claims, not independently audited catalog counts or confirmation that the stated future target has been reached.
The distinction between current claims and earlier plans matters. HIO’s November 2024 release reported more than 6 million licensed songs and said the company aimed to scale to 100 million by late 2025. The searched sources do not establish whether that historical target was met. Nor should the release’s roadmap be mistaken for a checklist of features currently available.

In 2024, HIO described payments, staking, token rewards, NFT minting, an artist merchandise store, a social feed, ticketing, and an advertising suite as upcoming features. It also said the app was available on iOS, Android, and Solana Saga at that time. Those statements are dated; current availability of the apps, token status and utility, and launch status of the listed features are not established by the sources cited here.
What the Symphonic partnership adds to the picture
On January 9, 2026, music distribution company Symphonic announced a partnership with HIO. Its announcement describes HIO as offering artists streaming and tools for building direct relationships with fans. This provides later context for HIO’s artist-services ambitions, but does not establish artist onboarding eligibility, payment terms, or a referral program.

What the appointment does—and does not—tell artists
Arabian Prince’s appointment signals that HIO is presenting innovation and artist engagement as priorities. It does not, by itself, answer the practical questions an artist needs to assess a platform: how enrollment works, how royalties are calculated and paid, what listener data artists can access, which features are live, and what rights or terms apply. The sources cited here do not establish those current details, so artists should verify them directly with HIO before making decisions.
