The album title carries a personal story, according to vocalist and pianist Roy Stride. He said his family’s move to Los Angeles and an evacuation during California wildfire season inspired the title track and artwork: “That week ended up inspiring both the song and the album artwork.” The account is Stride’s, as reported in the announcement.

Who made the record?
Stride wrote and produced the album. Sound Knowledge lists recording locations in California, Dublin and the UK, and credits fellow founding members Greg Churchouse on bass and Pete Ellard on drums, alongside touring guitarist Connor McDonald. Stride and Matt Bishop mixed the record.
Stride described its mood as continuous with the band’s familiar approach: “The album’s full of the sunny optimism and joy that’s always been such a big part of Scouting for Girls.”
