Its official description confirms the central setup: Jason and Lucia are drawn into a criminal conspiracy across Leonida after an easy score goes wrong, and must rely on each other to survive. The trailer identifies its two protagonists and their predicament, but does not provide detailed biographies or confirm every story detail viewers might infer from its images.
What Trailer 2 confirms about Jason and Lucia
Rockstar’s official Trailer 2 page names Jason and Lucia and describes them as people who have long known “the deck is stacked against them.” After an “easy score” goes wrong, they find themselves in a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida. The official synopsis says they are forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.

That is the confirmed character-and-story outline: two protagonists, a failed score, a conspiracy reaching across Leonida, and a relationship of mutual reliance under pressure. Rockstar’s text does not spell out the details of the score, identify the people behind the conspiracy, or provide a full account of either character’s history.
What their names and the trailer imagery do—and do not—establish
The trailer page calls the characters Jason and Lucia. Rockstar’s official video catalog separately labels character clips “Jason Duval” and “Lucia Caminos,” establishing those full names. The catalog labels do not, by themselves, confirm additional biographical details.

- This product contains a download code inside the box — no disc is included. Customer shipments will begin arriving November 12 for pre-load; game is playable starting November 19. Code can only be used by users holding an account for PlayStation registered to the US or Canada.
- Pre-order to receive the Vintage Vice City Pack.
- Grand Theft Auto VI is a single-player experience.
Trailer shots may invite viewers to draw conclusions about the characters’ work, relationships, allies, or the sequence of events. Those are interpretations unless Rockstar’s official text or another official source confirms them. The synopsis supplies no detailed biographies, and it does not identify specific supporting characters or explain the conspiracy’s full scope. It is safest to distinguish what the trailer depicts from what its accompanying text explicitly establishes.
What “captured on PlayStation 5” means
In its May 6, 2025 announcement, Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar stated: “All trailer footage was captured on PlayStation 5.” That is a production detail about the footage’s capture platform, not proof that every shot is unedited gameplay. The announcement does not characterize each scene as gameplay, so the capture statement should not be stretched into a claim about how the trailer was made or what a final release will look like.

GTA VI’s current release date and platforms
The May 2025 announcement said the game was planned to launch on May 26, 2026. Rockstar’s current official game page now lists November 19, 2026, and shows PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It also indicates preorder availability. The November date is the current listing; May 26 was the earlier plan, not the date currently shown by Rockstar. The page does not establish a PC release.
