Her roles in After and Moxie
Langford’s connection to both films is through acting, not authorship. The stories come from novels by two different writers:
| Film | Langford’s role | Source novel |
|---|---|---|
| After film series | Tessa Young | Anna Todd’s After novels |
| Moxie | Emma Cunningham | Jennifer Mathieu’s novel Moxie |
Production notes for After We Collided describe the After films as based on Todd’s novels and identify Langford as Tessa. The notes also record that Langford had wrapped production on Amy Poehler’s Moxie, based on Mathieu’s book. Their description of the cast and production is historical context, not an update on Langford’s current projects.

What Langford said about choosing what to do next
In a Teen Vogue interview about After We Collided, Langford spoke about the pressure of assumptions and expectations. She said: “I’m able to take a little more time with what I want to do next, and it’s really nice to have the privilege and the freedom to be able to do that.” The comment reflects her outlook at the time of that interview; it should not be read as a statement of her present plans.
