What happens in “Night Moves”?
Owen and Teddy begin the episode trying to enjoy dinner together, but their date is interrupted when they run into David Beckman, a Grey Sloan cardiothoracic surgeon, and his wife Cass, a trauma surgeon at Seattle Presbyterian. Owen and David are called back to work, leaving Teddy and Cass at the restaurant.
That detour becomes the episode’s most consequential relationship turn. Cass and Teddy leave the restaurant for fries and talk about their marriages. Teddy says she and Owen have been scheduling sex. Cass says that opening her marriage to David helped them, then kisses Teddy. Teddy makes clear that she and Owen are “closed, very closed,” and leaves. Later, she tells Owen about the kiss. His reaction is described as characteristically Owen-like, but the episode does not resolve what the disclosure means for their marriage.
Why is Jo struggling at home?

She is also frightened by the prospect of adding two more children to the family and says she and Link have not been in a good place.

Does Levi leave Grey Sloan?
Yes. Levi has to choose between an attending job at Grey Sloan and a research position in Texas. Working under Bailey for the evening, he helps save a patient’s kidney, but the experience clarifies what matters most to him: pediatrics. He tells Richard and Bailey, “When I save a kid, I’m not just saving a life, I’m saving a lifetime.” Levi chooses the Texas research job and tells Helm he has accepted it.

What happens to Mika and Chloe?
Mika is still worried about Chloe after taking time away to be with her sister. At the hospital, a lung-transplant patient, Mr. Reilly, faces a failing pump. Mika helps keep him stable until a replacement arrives. When he convulses, Winston’s phone instructions cut out, and Mika acts on her own to stabilize him.
Jules credits Mika and arranges for her to join the surgery. Mika and Jules postpone the kiss they had hoped to share, while Winston and Mika successfully transplant the new lung. But the episode’s final scene turns sharply: Mika drives Chloe home, falls asleep from exhaustion, and crashes the car. The episode ends on that cliffhanger; it does not reveal what happens to either of them after the accident.
