Why did Hadid start a cashmere brand?
The idea drew on cashmere sweaters her parents gave her when she moved to New York as a teenager. Hadid described the pieces as meaningful reminders of home. In launch-event coverage, she told Vogue: “The core of Guests in Residence is to create pieces that can live with you through life because it’s a material that makes you feel comfortable and warm regardless of the situation.”
