Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3: Super brought Superman into Battle Royale on July 11, 2025—not only as a Battle Pass character, but also through a temporary in-match transformation. Epic’s update added Superman’s Call, new weapons and a speed boon, followed by the Fortress of Solitude on July 15. The season has ended, so these dates and unlock steps are historical rather than a current schedule.
How Superman changed a match
Epic Games announced Superman’s arrival on July 10, 2025, for the following day. Starting July 11 at 9 AM ET, a Superman’s Call crystal had a chance to spawn in every Battle Royale and Zero Build match. The first player to find one gained temporary flight, heat vision that could melt structures, and superhuman strength. If opponents defeated the transformed player, the player reverted to normal. This made the crossover more than a cosmetic release: the crystal could briefly change how a match played for the player who found it. Epic’s announcement describes the chance to spawn in each match, not a guaranteed appearance.
What else arrived with the Superman update
The additions were staggered. Epic said the Fortress of Solitude would become available on July 15, 2025. Superman offered services there in exchange for Bars. The update also brought more Academy Tech Labs, new Exotic weapons, and a boon:

How the Superman Outfit was unlocked during the season
During Chapter 6 Season 3: Super, owners of the Super Battle Pass could unlock the Superman Outfit by earning 12 Account Levels. XP from any experience counted. Further Account Level goals unlocked the Pen & Ink Style, designed by Jim Lee, and additional cosmetics: the Daily Flight Glider, Super Cape Back Bling, Crystal Smasher Pickaxe, and Super Save Emote. That was the season’s unlock path, not confirmation of present-day availability. The cited information does not establish whether players can obtain these past-season rewards now or whether access varies by account or region.

How Superman fit into Chapter 6 Season 3: Super
Superman was part of a broader superhero theme, not the season’s only new character or system. GameSpot’s June 8, 2025 overview listed Superman and Robin among the Battle Pass characters, alongside six original characters: Haylee Skye, Ziggy, Synthwave, Killswitch, Lightrider, and Morgan Myst. It also highlighted new locations, boss encounters, Hero Ranks, boons, and sprites. GameSpot’s season overview
The season’s Superman crossover therefore worked on two levels: players could pursue a permanent-style outfit reward through Battle Pass progression, while the crystal introduced a temporary power-up within matches. The Fortress and its services extended the crossover into the map after the initial launch.

When the season ran—and what is known now
GameSpot reported at the time that Chapter 6 Season 3: Super would conclude on August 8, 2025. That is a contemporary report about the season’s planned end date, not a current Fortnite schedule. The season is no longer current as of October 2026.
The documented Superman content consists of digital game features and rewards: an outfit, cosmetics, an in-match power-up, map services, weapons, and a boon. The available sources do not identify a physical crossover item or a required accessory for using the features.
